And there you go describing yourself as a right to life, family first, Gods will, creationist believing, American Patriot, Constitutional loving, Bible reading Baptist, Evangelical Conservative Christian, tri-corner hat wearing Tea Party affiliated Republican, all proud to carry your gun to Church or the Little League Field, Amerikan! You brag about Jesus writing the Declaration Of Independence and swear religious freedom has nothing to with freedom from religion but the power of a certain type of religion (most forms of Evangelical/Baptist/Presbyterian) to act as Lord and master of the politics of this nation. You are at the ready to deny Gays and Lesbians any of the rights and equality as you posses and do so based on chapters and verses from your particular Bible ignoring any references to the US Constitution. Your love for God precludes your understanding of women having any choice regarding their reproductive rights, equal pay for equal work insisting that President Christ never considered females to be anything but a piece of male rib as he wrote the the Constitution. Your disdain for people of color is found in your misguided translation of how God had created the differing colors of skin to mark his approval of those superior (the whites to those inferior (the browns, tans or blacks.) You know fully well that the Civil War was lost by the wrong team and that God has been punishing this nation ever since the disruption of separate drinking fountains/neighborhoods/public schools/ and that removal of something so Christian American as slavery.

You gerrymander voting districts so your kind of American can abolish abortion, restrict any kind of contraceptives, eliminate public schools for Christian private charter schools, deny long term unemployment payments, slash nutrition vouchers and food stamp assistance but stand upon your church’s soapboxes, with the New Testament in one hand and the self-serving sermons of Preachers/Pastors/Ministers in the other hand insisting that life is precious, but ain’t no tax dollar out of your pocket or for that matter anyone of those heathens wallets to pay for it. You call the poor, lazy even as you NEVER once create bills to create jobs. You call the unemployed a culture of misfits who will never earn their way even as you NEVER stop the income gap from widening. You call the elderly takers, thieves of a sort who only want to luxuriate with their $250 a month social security even though you NEVER try to find how much it does cost to provide dignity before death. 

You shout about Jesus  being aboard the Nina, Pinta and Santa Maria sailing with Columbus proclaiming this a Christian nation yet support corporate polluters and their billionaire CEO’s who act as your puppet masters as they frack, drill baby drill, and chemicalize the crops. You find droughts, flooding, damaging winter freezes as just routine climate inclinations worries for the Liberals who don’t know Gods plan, yet ignore the raping, pillaging, destruction of living creations you say he created done so selfishly and self servingly by so called good Christians. You carry the Flag as you cut back days for voting/demand all kind of paper work to support an unsupportable complaint of voter fraud. You say God did bless America but unless those wanting to become citizens of this nation look like you act like you pray like you and of course hate like you God ain’t blessing their chances in America. 

You scare me, the politicians who have little need for fact and truth. You scare me the politicians who think that Christian Jihad is a good kind of war. You scare me the politicians who feed on fear, gorge on erroneous suggestion, devour fair and equal replacing them with Lobbyist money, dark money hypocrisy and hyperbole. You scare me tremendously but I am even more afraid by the lemming/the bigot/ the racist/ the ignorant/ the homophobe/the religious demigods/ the misogynist/ the stupid who actually permit you to be politicians. And I am even more frightened by those who know you are nothing but buffoons/bully’s/losers who remain silent thinking you are a joke a court jester a blip and will someday go away. I am afraid of those who let you ruin this nation as if your destruction and disregard never ever mattered. What has happened to America?

In limbo, in Michigan, same-sex couples are denied the right to be called legally married even after they were permitted to say I do…legally! No big deal, after all they are just a handful of Gays or Lesbians and aren’t they used to being second class citizens anyway? Freedom in Michigan is not a right it is earned, politicized; and just like same sex attraction it is not natural. Let those uppity Gays suffer for wanting equality, they put the burden of proof on themselves and they disrupted the happily ever marriages of so many heterosexuals. In the nation state of Michigan the majority will decide the fate of the minority. In the nation state of Michigan equality is to be doled out by a handful of politicians who only cater to the very lowest denominator of bigots, racists and homophobes. God is the decider of all things red, white and blue in Michigan.

God is also sitting at the bench at the Supreme Court as the Justices decide if corporations whom they declared as people can, like the folks in Michigan use their religion to deny any civil rights to the citizens of the United States. Hobby Lobby’s owners don’t like contraception and despise abortions no mater why or how. The Supreme Court will decide if Hobby Lobby can deny its employees access to health insurance to over the costs of either contraception or an abortion. If the Court decides in favor of a corporations religious values, just image what might be next. Perhaps the same corporate citizens don’t like the Gay life-style, the Gay-agenda finding either one to be anti Christian values. Imagine how easy it might then be to say how disgusting and against religious values it would be to hire anyone from the LGBT community? Don’t tree on my religious freedoms I am a corporation a person and whom I hate is based on how much I love God.

God has become a powerful source for decision making in a nation that was founded on both freedom of religion and freedom from religion. It seems any kind of hate is purified if right before you state the hate you insist God told you to do so. As long as you site some edited chapter and verse from YOUR Bible, insist that God has spoken to you in your sleep, or define others as charlatans, or the devil, you seem to be permitted to deny equality, freedom and justice. Far right, Evangelical Christians have chided and derided the Muslims for their jihadist attempt at religious warfare in the world, but now have cozily copied the same religious warfare game plan in this nation. You are either with Jesus or not they proclaim. Jesus hates the poor, carries a gun, does’t care for the elderly and certainly did not win the Revolutionary War to have all men and women gain a pursuit of happiness. 

The cycle of religious oppression is gaining momentum. Not oppression to worship and enjoying your moment with God, but oppression for those who have the audacity to think that the Founding Fathers meant what they said about separation between church and state. Religious freedoms are not keeping America free at all.

In the state of California you were able to say i do then you didn’t and then you did again, if you happened to be Gay or Lesbian. Your marriage was recognized by the government then it wasn’t then it was. In the state of California you could have beat your spouse, cheated on your wife or husband, had extramarital affairs with someone of the opposite sex, even marry three four five times and no one complained with great consternation that the Institution of Marriage, the Foundation of Religion, the welfare of the children would implode, deflate or become poisonous if you were a heterosexual. 

In the state of Michigan you were not able to say I do, then you did and now you don’t, if you are Gay or Lesbian. Your marriage was characterized as an affront to the sanctity of family, an abomination of anything religious or pious, and nothing more but an uppity attention grabbing scheme to deplete the value of heterosexual marriages. You could be Newt Gingrich and be welcomed as a thrice married man, Marc Sanford with no qualms about your extramarital affairs or even David Vitter a regular man’s man with a penchant for prostitutes in Michigan and no question would be asked about your impact on the quality and purpose of marriage. But if your name is Adam and you want to marry Steve or your name is Eve and you want to marry Alicia you are a pariah and the wicked witch of the west ready to cause many households to crumble in fall apart in Michigan.

In the state of hypocrisy you can determine the values and morals of all those around you while ignoring the rigid and rigorous rituals for your self. You can participate in placing dogma and restrictions  on people supposedly not like you while keeping a blind eye and a deaf ear to the exact same indiscretions you bemoan and detest for people just like you and indeed yourself. You can recite every verse and chapter from an abridged Bible to deny equality while ignoring fact and purpose from a Constitution created for we the people. In the state of hypocrisy the louder you scream, the more indignant you become, the more reliant on fable and fiction for fact you find yourself, the more content you are in never looking in the mirror rather turning the reflection away from you the more attention you garner. It seems that in the Unites States in the year 2014 the state of hypocrisy has become the 51st state.

Gay agenda’s, Gay propaganda, Gay bullying, Gay entitlement! If only any of this was true, but in our current condition of louder is truth, fiction is fact, God carried an assault rifle, Jesus was really the first president of the US it seems that anything Gay is either the coming of Satan, Socialism, Communism, Fascism the decline of religion and of course the death knell for families, wholesomeness, religious freedoms and apple pie gone rotten. Gays demanding fair and equal, justice and common ground seem to shake the foundations of the insecure religious zealots, who have nothing to fear but the handily made up terror presented to them by really smart people who truly hate really dumb people. The louder the nonsense, the more intense the ridiculous, the greater the guttural sounds of stupid, the more the smart silent people are dismissed leaving MORE room for the very, very, very ignorant who have learned bias and bigotry from Mom, Dad, Pastors, Preachers, and billionaire entertainers on FOX to govern this nation.

"Right away it shows two men with a baby, followed by other families, and ends with different families pictured including the one with two dads.” A Republican candidate who believes that God dictates weather patterns and that tornadoes, autism and dementia are God's punishments for marriage equality and abortion access won the GOP nomination to challenge Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) in the Chicago-area 9th Congressional District.

For decades I lived with the insecurity that perhaps I might be Gay, then the fear of what if I AM Gay and finally the realization that I must come out of some closet, built and protected by others. I felt powerless, at times as if I was a loser, moments of shame and as the stupid million moms love to state sinful. I wished so much to have the power to be alright, never considering at first that BEING alright is a subjective term. My agenda was to be me, my propaganda was for others to see me as real, my bullying was to get those who saw me as a Gay man first to look closer, my entitlement was to enjoy life as my heterosexual friends did. When the freedom of coming out happened I swore to never, ever permit the insanity of the insecure, the baseless bias of the bigoted, the use God as your scapegoat for your own human frailties to deny me my share of the apple pie, the very sweet, tart, tasty pie!

It seems this nation has permitted the shrill to state the direction this nation must take both politically and culturally. We allowed demigods to become prophets, snake oil salesmen to provide remedies, puppet masters to manipulate the momentum, We let liars have the last word  hateful self loathing low life to write books, appear on news stations, run for office, preach chapter and verse from abridged Bibles and imaginary Constitutions. We have created monsters, loud, abrasive, belligerent  abusive monsters to set the goals for America. How much longer will the willful, the wise, the wanderers remain silent? When will it be too late to talk above the fray of ignorant rants and retake America and remake this nation into a democracy of decency? Silence is no longer golden, not when loud is loose and dangerous.

State Sen. Phil Jensen (R-S.D.) doesn't believe governments should interfere in the private sector’s ability to engage in race-based discrimination, according to an interview published in the Rapid City Journal on Sunday. His comments come after a recently failed attempt to advance controversial anti-LGBT legislation, which he introduced in January. Under the auspices of freedom of speech, the bill, SB 128 sought to permit South Dakota businesses and residents to refuse services to customers based on their sexual orientation.

"There is no liberty more important than religious liberty," said Senator Ted Cruz in his keynote speech at the Network of Iowa Christian Home Educators' annual state Capitol lobbying day. He later added: "This nation was founded by men and women fleeing religious oppression and coming here seeking the freedom to seek out our lord God almighty with all of our hearts, minds and souls, free of the government getting in the way.”

Governor George Wallace joined by men in white robes carrying confederate flags, white women carrying their Daughters of the American Revolution ID cards, white men and women draped in red white and blue with preferred copies of the Constitution made it very clear that the University of Alabama was not going to be tampered with by the government. The refusal to accommodate Negros in attending University of Alabama was un-American and an over reach of government. Evangelical and Southern Baptist preachers and ministers in Virginia stood with their crosses in their right hand, Bibles in their left hands, abridged versions of the US Constitution draped on their belts and cried that their religious freedoms were being attacked because of all unnatural events in America people of two separate races wanted to marry. White men felt it necessary to block access to the luncheon counters, religious deity decried that the Devil was certain to take over America when mixed races had the audacity to even consider a holy union. To these true Americans the Unites States was white, Christian (preferably of the Presbyterian Christianity) a democracy created for the majority and God above all else had the final say as to the laws of the land.

And via the struggles of the Civil Rights Act Loving V Virginia most sane and sincere citizens thought that the issue of hate, discrimination, derogatory and disregard had ended. We were apparently duped and delusional. With the rise of those who find fact frivolous, historical content hilarious, common sense just a bunch of commotion and fair and equal unChristian like  history seems to want to repeat itself. There is an attempt to redefine American values, purpose and intent. How much louder do the angry bigoted and racists voices have to get before those of us who care about truth and honor finally talk back?

Oh no not Senator Lindsey Graham. So it seems the senator from South Carolina is being bullied a bit by a primary rival and being accuse of being an ambiguous closeted gay man. Of course until all homosexuals have the exact same rights as heterosexuals, just the inference that you might be gay is kind of sort of like a plague on your house. Just the mere mention that you might be gay can send shivers down your spine and the dire need to deny any sort of sense to that gossip. In the minds of the bigot you could run for office if you are a rapist, murderer, philander, but even the mere mention of homosexuality well then forget your political ambitions. 

Oh no not Senator Lindsey Graham. He can’t be gay because he has no soul, no sense of fair play, the inability to find the common good and is way too at home receiving the benefits from financial benefactors then doing the will of the people. He can’t be gay because he thinks poor people are lazy, uninsured people should find the money for medical coverage or die, a black man cannot be president and that money for the military is more important then dollars for the elderly, education and the unemployed. 

Oh no not Senator Lindsey Graham. Don’t send shock waves to the voters of South Carolina who think they have elected a bachelor to the senate who is just waiting for the right babe to marry. Don’t infuriate the hard core believers in South Carolina who insist that both the Constitution and the Bible were written by the hand of Jesus the same Jesus who carried a gun, hated the poor, whorish women, the sick, people of color and of course queers and who spoke of Lindsey Graham as being a senator. Don’t confuse the South Carolinians who know the difference between a man’s man the normal kind of man and the girlish kind of man, the un-normal kind. Lindsey Graham an ambiguous closeted gay man, how un-South Carolinian, un-American, unbelievable!

Oh no not Senator Lindsey Graham. Imagine how embarrassed the state of South Carolina would feel if they realized for the past 22 years they had elected to office a homosexual man. Imagine how disgusted people would feel to know that the pork barrel projects, the kickbacks, the play for pay they received was handed to them by a homosexual. Imagine how untenable it would be to say you lived in a state where your senator your senior senator a man who replaced Strom Thurmond the truest and most American of senators was gay. Not only would you be sick to your stomach but poor old Strom would turn over in his grave. Oh no not Senator Lindsey Graham. But looking at things closely enough maybe so, yep maybe so!

Evangelist Franklin Graham is praising Russian President Vladimir Putin for his aggressive crackdown on homosexuality, saying his record on protecting children from gay “propaganda” is better than President Obama’s “shameful” embrace of gay rights. Graham, who now heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association started by his famous father, praises Putin in the March issue of the group’s Decision magazine for signing a bill that imposes fines for adults who promote “propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations to minors.”

Ahhhh, Mr Graham how American a hero you have become. So at the ready to embrace the words and deeds of a man acting as a dictator. At the ready to deny human and civil rights as designated in the US Constitution. So eager to demonstrate how ignorance of fact preferring the folly of fiction. So much like your infamous bigoted anti semite father Billy Graham: “In Nixon tapes, Billy Graham refers to ‘synagogue of Satan’” In the Bible, the term “synagogue of Satan,” which appears in referred to Revelations 3:9 “who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie.” But in contemporary times the phrase has been grifted by conspiracy theorists and anti-Semites to refer to a Jewish cabal hell-bent on, and only moments away from, world domination; Graham agrees that it will push anti-Semitism “right to the top.” Then he turns the conversation to a report he read somewhere that Israel supposedly wants to “expel all the Christians.” Graham mentions Jewish opposition to a Christian evangelical unified campaign, saying Jews are “going right after the church.”

It seems in the Graham household demagoguery is a generational malaise a tortured father passing on hatred and bigotry to a wanna be hero son. Oh Franklin you and your dad love to play God but act more like a devil. Your dad was a coward (when he was confronted with his anti Semitic tirades he said he was taken out of context) and you similarly too as you pretend that your hate is nothing more then your Lord and Savior’s blessing (as if Jesus would say the stupid things you preach.) And then for good measure you want a little wiggle room as you praise the Russian leader from a country your own father had nothing but loathing for by saying “Isn’t it sad, though, that America’s own morality has fallen so far that on this issue — protecting children from any homosexual agenda or propaganda — Russia’s standard is higher than our own?” What is sad Franklin is just how little standards for decency, morality, fairness, democracy and justice you were either taught by a loser dad or learned by pretending to be a real Christian.

I am Gay: Do I keep you stronger when you try and make me weak? Do I intimidate your God when you insist that I am Godless? Do I deter your love for your spouse when I mutter the words I do? Do I deplete your ability to become a great parent when all you want is for me to be childless? Do I tear at the fibers of your family values when all you wish is to diminish mine? Do I make you more Patriotic while you try and strip away my Democracy?

I am a Woman: Do I eviscerate your testosterone every time I ask for equal pay? Do I make your penis hard whenever you describe me in terms of whore,slut,bitch? Do I shrivel your testicles as I insist that I am as capable of being the boss as you are? Do I make you sterile as I understand my own body seeking contraceptives or perhaps an abortion? Do I excite you as you watch me making love to another woman on film but disgust you as I privately lay next to the woman I love? Do I emasculate you as I play as hard, rough, professionally and sincerely as you?

I am of Color: Do I break your genetic code wiping away any traces of white DNA as I move in your neighborhood, work in your office, sit next to you on the bus, share a swing set at the play ground? Do I deny you access to the voting booth as I ask to extend election hours, increase polling places in my neighborhood, seek people with tan, brown, black skin to represent me? Do I worry you as I demand a fair share of the pie while all you do is think the apple pie belongs to you? Do I secretly steal your customs and cultures as I celebrate my own beauty, brightness and boldness? Do I ask too much when all I ask for is what you have taken from me?

I am Poor: Do I limit the amount of food you serve for your three meals a day, the dollars you pay for your mortgage, how many vacations you enjoy when all I seek is sustainable nutrition?  Do I incite drug dealers to help me get high instead of insisting that I have adequate food and shelter as you indulge in recreational drugs? Do I lower the value of your home as I find shelter on the streets? Do I emit a contagious virus as I pass you by on the street making you susceptible to poverty? Do I amplify your animosity because as much as you wish I would be invisible you can still see me?

I am an American: Do I want more then you or just the same? Do I seek freedoms or restrictions which demand I remain silent, suffocated and insufficient? Do I ask for more then I want while you refuse to give me what is mine? Do I forget my pursuit of happiness because me being Gay, a Woman, of Color or Poor makes you uncomfortable? Is it my American dream that makes you act less and less like an American?

Sunday night at 9:00 Pacific Time Joe and I sit in front of the television placing the burdens and virtues of the week behind us and the promise and potential of the week ahead aside and watch ‘The Walking Dead’. For those of you not of this Earth, it a series about some mystery virus that has virtually turned the American population into flesh eating/no holds barred/without remorse/minus scruples or values Zombies. The series pits ordinary humans against hordes and hordes of creatures whose sole purpose is to eat flesh, destroy sanity, and enact merciless pain and suffering. No one is certain of how the virus found footing transforming America into becoming a desolate landscape hopeless and hapless. The comfort for me in watching programs like this usually is that when the hour is up I can turn to Joe and say phew, thank goodness it was just a piece of fiction.

If you spend one minute, a few hours a week or perseverate as I do listening to the words of politicians, lobbyists, clergymen, pundents, people who swear the Bible supersedes the Constitution, you might wonder what virus has stricken the American population identifying themselves as Christian/Conservative/Patriots/Republican and Tea Party?  It seems there is a new virus causing walking dead to really walk among us. These monsters are inflicted with a virus so virulent that it drains common sense/democracy/decency/ freedom/equality from our Flag, Apple Pie/Bill of Rights/Motherhood and anything that used to be red, white and blue! We are witnessing new Zombies whose mission is to destroy American society, redefine the American way, demoralize civil and human rights. They are walking among us and permitted to do so by Racists, Xenophobes, Homophobes.Misogynists, and Bigots all of whom are carrying a Zombie type virus.This group of walking dead suffer from a virus whose origin is hate. On Sunday’s at 10 when the ‘Walking Dead’ comes to a conclusion for the week, I can breathe a sigh of relief, but the Walking Dead of the Tea-Publican ilk cause sleepless and nightmarish nights and days. This new walking dead are more dangerous and deplorable. Be afraid, very afraid!

When the North won the Civil War and some Negros actually discovered freedoms and justice trying to find their place in this new American society, many Whites from the South and those in other parts of this nation still uncomfortable with the Negro’s place at the table became a bit distraught. The Negro had always been on the lower rung of society in America and to witness this minority now asking for the same choices and chances as Whites was frightening. Many who did not want to be considered racist, but hated the idea of the Negro being anything but subservient would often times refer to the Negro as being Uppity! Wanting the same paying job, a place at the counter, a decent home, a fair education just like the Whites (who certainly deserved all of that because this was their homeland) made the Negro/Colored/Black person a selfish ingrate unappreciative of all the struggles the White man had to bare just to end slavery. Uppity described the Colored as setting expectations that were never his/hers to receive, and demonstrated a real lack of Americana because democracy was never meant for all citizens of this nation, just those who deserved it; and by all means it was the Whites who should decide that fate and not the blacks. The Civil War was won now what the hell do you want?

Heterosexual men like George Will at the ready to write principles and policy, sitting on a throne above the fray of every day existence, hidden in some mid century palace surrounded by a moat of meaningless dribble and diatribe has no Earthly idea of the true definition of democracy. In George Will’s world winning is not achieving the gold ring it is being satisfied with the bronze or silver coated bling. Mr Will pontificates about the worth of this nation but insists that some of us are really too worthless to be considered an equal. Heterosexual men like George Will, fear homosexuals and define themselves as something other worldly. Be happy with a crumb Mr Will states at least a crumb keeps you from starving. Why eat the whole cake, you might not know what to do with a full stomach anyway.  For Mr Will’s imaginary United States separate but equal is as good as it should get for people he considers less then or in more graphic terms Uppity!

To Mr Will, and all of your Christian Conservative Tea-Publicans bought and paid for by the 1% or lectured to by the likes of Pat Robertson, Raphael Cruz, Sarah Palin FOX News, you are a cowardly bunch of Treasonists afraid of the Constitution and the true meaning of democracy. I don’t eat crumbs when I want a full meal, I don’t find the cup half empty when it can be completely full, and I expect the same rights and privileges, laws and lay of the land as you would.
