How fucking frustrating, how horrendously horrifying, how SO REPUBLICAN, and the people who vote for them. Ever since my parents worked for Adlai Stevenson ‘s second run to become President way back in 1956, I somehow had become a political junkie.

 

My parents would discuss how democracy was as valuable as the air we breathed and how democracy could only survive from its roots, which in political terms was called “THE GRASS ROOTS”, as in the people and their pursuit of truth and justice. Somehow, I had this sense that maybe I COULD MAKE CHANGE, as in me being just an ordinary citizen. 

 

I still feel an obligation to save democracy to keep freedom alive, to aid the underdog, to right the wrongs, to do the right thing and to fucking ACT UP, BE LOUD, and swear, NEVER AGAIN.

 

This time in the year 2025, I am however terrified that the Republican Monster has grown to proportions of such enormity that, it will be uncontrollable uncontainable! People say wait until the Mid Term elections, and my response is what Mid-Term elections…because a few months before they are to happen, TRUMP/MUSK with declare MARTIAL LAW.

Both men can run this county amuck as if they were steering the TITANIC! Both men have courted the Wall Street Bankers, the Silicon Valley Tech Bros, and the 1% of the wealthy who would see the peasants (as in anyone but themselves) eat cake, stale cake at that, and nothing else!

Seriously, these adults would not be able to be alive now had most of them not been provided with vaccines and medical care when they were children. So somehow, whatever medical advice and procedures they had received are no longer good enough for their children.

No matter the response from Canada or Mexico, Trump will seize upon the willingness of those two nations to try and find a compromise that is a pure, clean, clear victory for Trump and his authority.

 

The real deal will take place with China. One must wonder if there will be a compromise due to Ivanka wanting more trademarks, Jared wanting more billions, or Trump wanting more gifts and grafts. All Trump is bluff, bluster a façade, and a self-serving narcissist.
