To Acquiesce

 “We must acknowledge the concerning public reports against you,” Reed said. “A variety of sources—including your own writings—implicate you with disregarding the rule of law in combat, financial mismanagement, racist and sexist remarks regarding men and women in uniform, alcohol abuse, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other troubling issues.” (The Wall Street Journal) 

One might be thinking this quote was regarding Trump, what with the disregarding of the rule of law, racist and sexist remarks, sexual assault, sexual harassment, and other troubling issues. But instead, this quote is regarding Pete Hegseth, who is almost a clone of Trump with the added alcohol abuse, for good measure.

 

The Democrats and very few of the Republicans are questioning the man who will hold a mighty essential and strategic position in the Cabinet, trying to understand how a person with such an ugly and dubious past could even or should even become Secretary of Defense…BUT THEN, AGAIN, how could such a person as Trump become President? 

 

As in ME, one must wonder how soon the Democrats will do what they do best and acquiesce.
