 A Trump-appointed judge granted Donald Trump's special master request, thereby delaying parts of the Justice Department's criminal probe. “When you allow Republicans to control the courts you get nothing,” legal expert Elie Mystal says to Joy Reid, adding his view that, “Trump judges do not believe in the rule of law.” (MSNBC) 

If this IS true, and from my point of view, I believe it IS true, I have to wonder, if, in fact, TRUMP will remain above the law, BECAUSE there seem to be two laws in America one for MAGA/TRUMP/REPUBLICANS and one for anyone who IS not a MAGA/TRUMP/REPUBLICAN.

 

Please talk me out of this CRAZY ordeal. Please comfort me with wise words of truth, hope, fact, and reality from which you can explain how TRUMP had not been impeached, never permitted to run for any office. How TRUMPS actions which have led to attempted coups, talk of Civil War IS, and yet he is still pretending to run for office, or worse, yet INTENDS to run for office!

I am but a non-educated in legal matters citizen. I am, however, a citizen, growing so tired of exceptions made on behalf of Trump, who has a history of breaking laws. Of course, Judge Cannon, this IS unprecedented, because prior to this, NO PRESIDENT, has ever stolen Top Secret Documents from MY government. Trump had been asked to return ALL of the documents, but he CHOOSE not to. Trump’s cadre of lawyers told the government on behalf of Trump, that ALL documents would be returned, they were NOT. Top Secret Documents were not secured, interspersed with all kinds of other items, seemingly taken from the White House, and NOT considered Trump's personal property. What exactly, Judge Cannon are the safeguards for MY country? And how long will it take Judge Cannon to select a “special master”? Seriously, Judge Cannon, one has to wonder, whose concern you have in mind with a judgment like this!

Plan B

 Late last month, a so-called “trigger law” went into effect following the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade earlier this year. The trigger law makes it a felony to perform an abortion in the state with narrow exceptions when the pregnant person’s life is at risk. 

“We want to support those victims, but also those victims can access health care immediately, as well as to report it,” Abbott told The Dallas Morning News and KXAS-TV’s “Lone Star Politics” in a segment obtained by the Morning News that will air on Sunday. 

“By accessing health care immediately, they can get the Plan B pill that can prevent a pregnancy from occurring in the first place,” he added. 

Plan B is an oral contraceptive that is taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex or a “contraceptive accident” to prevent pregnancy, according to the product’s website. The pill prevents an egg from being released from the ovary to prohibit fertilization. 

The Republican governor also told “Lone Star Politics” that reporting a rape to law enforcement “will ensure that the rapist will be arrested and prosecuted.”

However, very few rape cases result in an arrest. While there were 13,327 reported rapes in Texas in 2020, there were only 1,828 arrests for rape, according to the state’s department of public safety. (THE HILL)

 Revelations that Justice Clarence Thomas’s spouse, GINNI THOMAS, sent at least 29 messages to Trump aides about overturning the 2020 election added to numerous examples of her sometimes outlandish partisan lobbying and Justice Thomas’s not recusing himself in cases involving matters about which she lobbied.

Whether to recuse is a judicial decision, reviewable only by a higher court, and there’s no court higher than the Supreme Court. The imbroglio may, however, reawaken interest in a legislative proposal that surfaced a decade ago during previous recusal controversies. (Brookings)
