you know, just F it

White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl questioned Trump about his campaign promise to “never lie” to the American public. “Can you tell me now, honestly, have you kept that promise at all times?” Karl asked. “Have you always been truthful?”
In replying, Trump claimed that he does “try” to tell the truth, pointing out that he thinks Karl tries too. “You say things about me that are not necessarily correct,” Trump said. “I do try, and I always want to tell the truth. When I can, I tell the truth.”
“And sometimes it turns out to be where something happens that’s different or there’s a change, but I always like be truthful,” he added.

No outrage, from the Republican Majority. A madman sits in the Oval Office, admitting that if it is not convenient, to tell the truth, then fuck it…No checks or balances, because we are so very near a Mid-Term Election, that for any current Republican elected official to speak out for the good American values, might mean that he or she will be spoken against by Trump…and just like any truth…fuck it if it not convenient!

The 25th Amendment, proposed by Congress and ratified by the states in the aftermath of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, provides the procedures for replacing the president or vice president in the event of death, removal, resignation, or incapacitation. The 25th Amendment is a separate process from impeachment, which allows Congress to remove a sitting president if a majority of the House of Representatives votes that he has committed treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors, and a trial in the Senate convicts him….
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.

The saddest thing for me is that we DO HAVE a CONSTITUTION, whose value is seemingly just a piece of paper for the Trump/Putin/McConnell/Ryan Administration. Even though on paper each American should have the power of voting the bomb in or out, when the GOP has rigged the system, by surging votes, shutting down polling places, intimidating the voter, or using the special services of Putin's Brigade of Hackers…voting the bomb in or out is just a joke…you know, like just fuck it!
