The Log Cabin Republicans, which bills itself as "the nation’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing LGBT conservatives and allies," occupies an awkward position in the conservative movement. The organization has publicly clashed with the anti-LGBTQ stances of various factions of the GOP and prominent Republicans, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Yet it has also, at times, avoided discussing the GOP's assault on trans rights and tried to align itself with anti-trans outrage, as it did when it objected to the coincidence of Easter and the Transgender Day of Visibility. LGBT Americans in the year 2024 actually spewing Republican propaganda, permitting Republican lies to flourish, and acting as surrogates of those who have proudly admitted their transphobia and homophobia is, for me, a proud man who, among many attributes, was born Gay is depraved, disgusting and as foolhardy as humanly possible.
I have spoken to quite a few Log Cabin Republicans who insist that there is more to being a free American than issues of gender or issues of who you love and marry. They INSIST that the true worry we should concern ourselves with is ECONOMICS. Most to many of these LGBT folks live their lives in the upper stratosphere of wealth, so of course what matters is money, greed and gluttony, of course at the cost of equality, freedom and choice. Maybe this group of HOMOSE agrees with “don’t say gay” because God forbid any of the other Republicans might point their bigoted fingers at this group and say, “GAYS, BURN THEM!”
Such a shame when Jews think TRUMP is their ally. When Blacks forget that TRUMP is a stated Racist. When women become misogynists for TRUMP. And when the LOG CABIN gays pretend that if you have money,you are somehow better than everyone else!
