Rule by fear, create false enemies, invent the other, and always play the “look over there” game, a tried and true playbook for wannabe authoritarians, dictators, and fascists. Pretend there is a problem, one you have successfully invented, then demonstrate a show of force to eliminate that problem, but make certain you ensue any and all bigotry, racism, and phobias to try and legitimize your own invention.
Trump is on the Epstein List, but just to keep his own group of bogus cultists from discussing that criminal fact, he starts making people of color, poor people, and homeless people the real culprits. Illusion and delusion make for great bedfellows, keep ignorance and hate at the boiling point, and your stew of lies will fit the taste buds of the very stupid people who find you as a fitting king.
