I worry, I fret, I blog, I ache, I contemplate. My gut hurts, and I feel nervous. Just when I think there could not be anything worse to consider, the bottom of the barrel opens up, and levels and levels of worst, awful, and putrid flood in.
How does the story of our current lives find an end, and will that end be one of watching the slow death of our own freedoms and democracy? Each day, almost every hour, Trump and his fascist regime of enablers dig deeper into the pile of authoritarianism, and as they dig deeper, the resistance seems to wane, to be bulldozed, to be bamboozled.
I know my limits, and the power I hold, and they seem pale to none in stopping the Trump takeover, but the one thing that at least keeps me keeping on, is the idea that there are more intelligent people in this political landscape who have at their aid, tricks of the political trade that sooner than later will be the real resistance to stop our nation from bleeding our democracy
