Ohio Republican Rep. Jean Schmidt sparked outrage during a hearing on an abortion bill when she said a hypothetical teenager traumatized by rape would have the “opportunity” to help that child become a “productive human being.” Schmidt went on to say, in reference to the hypothetical teenager, “It is a shame that it happens but there is an opportunity for that woman, no matter how young or old she is, to make a determination about what she’s going to do to help that life be a productive human being. Just because you have emotional scars doesn’t give you the right to take the life.” Now, Jean Schmidt is lending her voice to the argument, saying those impregnated by rapists have “an opportunity” — not to terminate the unwanted pregnancy, but take the pregnancy to term. Here we go again, the Re-PUGNANT are all ready to play “I AM IN CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE, LADIES”, once again. (10 years ago when Republican Todd Akin famously declared, “If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.” The Missourian was, of course, in a competitive U.S. Senate race at the time… Two months later, in Indiana’s U.S. Senate race, Republican Richard Mourdock argued that when a woman is impregnated by a rapist, “it’s something God intended.”) Hard, even for me to find the correct words to express my SHEER DISGUST for the women, like Jean Schmidt, and the men of the GOP, who suppose, a female is a vessel, a tool for their Re-PUGNENT’s GOD to abuse and use; to consider that LADIES, just shut the fuck up about abuse, rape, and incest, because …WELL, some kind of EVIL persona acting as a GOD, made them able to produce eggs!
But 10 years ago, the vitriol, venom, devise RHETORIC, of the GOP at least had some limits. 10 years ago seems a lifetime ago, and the worry as to be that TODAYS Re-PUGNANT BASE, actually thinks that GOD (not the Jewish, or Islam, or even Catholic GOD) is a Re-PUGNENTNICAN. Daddies may love their daughters and in GOP-Ville, that means he can go all the way. Grandpap’s can love their granddaughters and get to home plate, Uncles can bring presents wrapped in a zipper and win… Re-PUGNENTNICAN’S want to rule YOUR world LADIES. But even worse, is that NOWADAYS, it AIN’T JUST THE REPUGNENT POLITICIANS who are so demented, but the actual real-life people who vote them into power! Come on Ohio, are you going the way of FLORIDA AND TEXAS?
