Ruling that the Legislature intentionally discriminated against Black voters, a federal judge in Tallahassee struck down most of Florida’s controversial 2021 election law and ordered the state not to make any future changes to those provisions without court approval….In his decision issued Thursday, Judge Mark Walker ruled that the sections of the law restricting drop boxes, creating new requirements for voter applications including vote-by-mail, and banning interactions with voters in line were unconstitutional and could not be enforced by the state. The law was a top priority of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.
THE “DON’T SAY GAY”/DON’T PERMIT WOMEN TO OWN THEIR OWN BODIES/DON’T ALLOW ONE PERSON ONE VOTE/DON’T PERMIT FREE SPEECH/PRETEND THAT PARENTS ARE OFFENDED BY ACTUAL ATROCITIES OF HISTORY BUT SEEM TO CARE LESS ABOUT SCHOOL SHOOTINGS/ and of course/STAND YOUR GROUND AND SHOOT AT-WILL, the NATION STATE, the AMERICAN SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF FLORIDA, may have, (FOR THE MOMENT), been reprimanded for all kinds of CIVIL ATROCITIES! The wanna-be TRUMP Governor DeSantis, and his QUAGMIRE of heads up their own assess majority of GOP Legislatures playing in their usual stench-filled pool of HYPOCRISY, have ignored any principles of DEMOCRACY, and of course, have refused to acknowledge the wants and wishes of real people. Amazing how it seems Florida BEGS to dive to the deep end of MORAL/VALUES/JUSTICE.
I can only hope this INTERVENTION by Judge Mark Walker, holds tightly enough for the average Floridian who thinks that FASCISM in Florida will not affect them, and how seeing no evil, hearing no evil, speaking no evil, WILL be the death of their FREEDOMS!
