How convenient GYMMIE, suddenly a true love for Israel, and I suppose the JEWS of Israel. Except, GYMMIE, when it comes to demonstrating love for the Jewish citizens of the United States, all you seem to prioritize are the members of the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys, the KKK, Militias, and a myriad of Jewish Hate Groups, who always are invited to more and more GOP Candidate Rally’s. GYMMIE, you never seem concerned when Neo-Nazis march in front of Disneyland, or when Swastika Flags are unfurled at the Trump Rally’s or American Nazi Demonstrations from Charlottesville, to many of the Republican enclaves in America.
And the REPUBLICAN audacity continues as they pucker up to try and kiss the asses of Jewish Donors, pretending that they support Israel, because it is the only democracy in the Middle East, all the while permitting the Democracy in the United States to be purged by Right Wing GOP American Fascists. Trump steals and tries to sell Top-Secret/Confidential information, the Majority of Republican Candidates for President, ignore that bit of Treason. White Supremacists proudly and loudly support TRUMP and way too many other Republicans, but as usual, silence is golden by the leadership of the GOP.
Half of evangelicals support Israel because they believe it is important for fulfilling end-times prophecy. Pastor Robert Jeffress offered tangential insight into why he and many evangelicals think that Israel is so important. Jeffress said to CNN. Jerusalem, he said, is “the touchstone of prophecy.” That prophecy is the biblical prophecy of the return of Jesus Christ and the beginning of the Rapture — the end times. “When we talk about the Holy Land, God’s promise of the Holy Land, we’re talking about real estate on both sides of the Jordan River. So the sense of a greater Israel and expansionism is really important to this community. Jerusalem is just central to that. It’s viewed as a historical and biblical capital.” the existence of Israel was necessary for fulfilling prophecy. More than half of evangelicals said that was a reason they supported Israel’s existence. (Washington Post)
As an American who proudly celebrates my Judaism, let me try and understand, exactly why the GOP supports the State of Israel, not necessarily the Jews living in the State of Israel, and how the Hell way too many of those same Republicans seem to not support the Jews of America. Is it Israel’s democracy? Is it the Jewish homeland? Is it respect for Judaism? Or maybe it is, the Second Coming, the Rapture, and of course the convenience of courting all of the Christian Evangelical Voters, and providing them one more serving of lip service!
