All of the conversation is about what gets cut and what stays intact, and there has been zero, ZERO discussion on perhaps increasing the amount of taxes the wealthiest of Americans can and should pay.

The insanity, the sheer self-indulgence by the puppet politicians to protect their puppet masters, is maddening. The math is easy even for the most primary of budget-wise people, but the fact that politicians are owned and operated by special interest groups, by billionaires, by Dark Money makes the obvious, oblivious!

When you become THE OTHER

If there is a defining characteristic of President Donald Trump’s second term — aside from shameless self-enrichment out of the executive branch — I’d argue it’s the proliferation of unabashed and outspoken racism espoused by the president and many of his most loyal followers. (MSNBC-opinion)

The immigrants, especially those whose skin color happens to be in shades of brown, people who identify as trans men or women who use pronouns as they or them, protestors who have the audacity to use free speech as they protest the actions of the Trump Dictatorship, citizens who happen to have various shades of black for their skin color, people with special needs, poor people, women who want ownership of their bodies and reproductive organs, these demographics are the current crop of Americans who have publicly been granted the status of “It’s Okay To Racial Profile Them, and It’s Okay To Apply Bigoted Actions Against.

Trump made very clear his intentions upon becoming President once again. He has now demonstrated just how much of a Racist, a Bigot, and a Hater he always was and will continue to be. But worse, this time around, his MAGA Republican harem and freak show sycophants feel emboldened to follow in his path.

Ya gotta ask the question, who will be next, and when will it finally cast you as “THE OTHER?” 

It is no longer

The Heritage Foundation Supreme Court (not the US Supreme Court, because that institution died once the majority of Christian Nationalist judges took over) is hearing  six cases in their closing days of operation before their summer break.  Most to many of these cases impact just how much freedom and choice, liberty and justice “WE THE PEOPLE” shall retain.

Birthright citizenship, Religion vs. LGBTQ books in public schools, Porn and the First Amendment, Health care and the Constitution are four of the cases which when decided will eliminate or encourage the Constitution to be inclusive of all citizens of this nation.

The divide between church and state, historic precedent, religious standards, and the health and welfare of the people of the United States are all up for grabs, all to be decided by a majority of non-elected, bought and paid for Justices who have demonstrated bias over the law of the land. 

These are important questions, and the people answering them seem more attuned to answering to their puppet masters than the PEOPLE!

Add to all of that that any anticipated Executive action is first announced on Truth Social, usually ALL IN CAPS.

The UEA had another used plane they needed to get rid of.

They ran out of Cheeseburgers and Diet Coke.

It’s always a numbers game with the Pro-Death Republicans, pretending that anyone who is not a Billionaire Puppet master is just a Liberal whose tears they just love to collect.

Not a single Pro-Death Republican Senator has even stated that by increasing the tax rates of their 1 and 2% puppet masters, that a whole lot of LESS cuts would have to arrive from Medicare. 

It’s never about hurting the Robber Barons, nope, they need their extra chump change to own and operate the Party of Republican Pro-Death Fascists.

Individual workers, as if they are not employees of the US government, are as free as they wish to discriminate against unmarried veterans and veterans who happen to be registered Democrats. It is as if the VA is some privately owned and operated division of the Heritage Foundation, or some Mega Evangelical Church outreach center.

This is just one more step beyond decency and democracy; it is one step closer to Fascism and Christian Nationalism. We cannot be silent because what will come next is a county clerk from Kentucky deciding who can and who cannot receive a marriage license? Oh, wait, that already happened.

I realize it is easier to write a Blog, hoping and wishing that democracy survives, rather than having the actual power to change the course of implementing Fascism each and every day. Still, as I see it, silence adds to the death knell of freedom.

America demonstrated its courage on No King’s Day. Now we must continue to express our disillusionment with Trump and his cadre of cowards within the Republican party, and each and every election we must vote BLUE.

Receiving such orders would allow them to receive pay, Tricare health benefits, and Department of Veterans Affairs eligibility. Without them, the troops dispatched aren’t getting anything. No surprises here, and if you are a bit shocked it is time to get all of your head out of your ass. Once again, the big spender is all talk, all huff and puff, but when the responsibility of his actions is to be accounted for, he is AWOL.

Pride 2025

So, along with my other natural traits of being right-handed, except when I use scissors with my left hand, being a tall version of a short person at 5’7” (my mother swore to me that once I was a Bar Mitzvah I would have a growth spurt and wake up one day with my legs hanging over my bed), having boring brown eyes and straight boring brown hair (which so far has remained brown and not turned gray, albeit not a lot of hair)…I happened to be born a homosexual. 

Recognizing this homosexual “thingie” was not as easy as adjusting to, say, understanding that one glass of wine makes me sleepy, spicy food makes me sick, or riding roller coasters makes me throw up. I knew I had a secret, and depending on my age at the time, I either thought that this secret would suddenly vanish, or I contemplated that if my secret were told, I might vanish. Neither found fruition, and one day, way later in my life, my secret became my life, and my life became better.

I used to permit others to identify me; that alone was a burden, added on to all of the “junk” we collect from being kids to adolescents to adults. Pride in ourselves, I believe, begins with ourselves, and once that pride takes shape, it is easier to share the pride with others.

So, as Pride month is upon us, I say Happy Pride for those of us who know who we truly are, from birth until the many tomorrows we shall live.
