Someone with greater power and prestige than many of us has finally been brave enough to say precisely, out loud, what way too many of us have been whispering about, or those of us with less power have been shouting about. Democracy is and has been under assault, and so far, the quiet before the storm has been intense enough to deafen even the keenest of ears.

Division, “Look Over There”, The Other, all examples of an Authoritarian, Fascist, Mad Person removing any guardrails that help a democracy thrive. Create the enemy, invent the scapegoat, define the victim, all the tenets in the playbook of a dictator. Our quiet, our silence, our head in the sand are the tools that help a Tyrant climb to power and remain in control. We must fight back, peacefully protest, because we are running out of way too many tomorrows.
