Oh, how I wish there was nothing new to say regarding the attack on the United States via Russia, or how the third world war completely caught this nation off guard and the only fallout from the battle has been the rot and decay for our national institutions, rather than the radiation sickness and the bleak black skies holding back the sun from the remains of a mushroom cloud. How I wish ALL of the actual adulterous affairs between Trump and his bevy of Playboy Bunnies, or his adoration for, and intimacy with adult porn stars would just be published as a sort of Farmer’s Almanac of why thou shalt not’s is only for the LGBT community and of course the loose women who dress for rape, but never for Trump because he, according to the pay to pray Evangelicals, insist upon the idea that Jesus selected Trump to succeed Jesus as the next Christ! Oh, how I wish I could just squander my ranting on the fact that even with all the tax breaks for the 1%, and the knowledge that the trickle down theory is as annoying as when your pee trickles down your own leg, we still see more homeless people, more tent cities sprouting up on boulevards and avenues, and how in some cities not stepping over or trying to ignore humans has become a part of the work day! Oh, how I wish I could stop counting upon the Republican’s coming up with yet one for bit of sheer hypocrisy, or the Commander-In-Chief, coming up with one more lie, being that he is so narcissistic he must inform all of us, of his illicit and illegal behavior.
The truth is out there, so we are told, but in the United States the truth is like having Cooties. And almost anyone over the age of 35 understands just how awful having Cooties can be. When I grew up in the dark ages of the 1950s we actually did have Cootie shoots, they were painful and you always ended up with a black and blue mark on your arm, but it did save you from being treated like leper. The truth seems to count for very little anymore, as in the truth won’t set you free, because when you have criminals like Trump and his Crime Family, the truth will send you to jail. Oh, ow I long for the days when truth mattered and people were actually called out for being honest; rather than praised as hero’s for somehow lying, as if TRUTH was as bad as being a person of color, an immigrant, a strong female, a homosexual, a Muslim or a non Evangelical Christian!
Oh, how I wish we would stop debating whether Trump like, love, adore, or is just being blackmailed by Putin. Oh how i wish we could just call Mitch McConnell an enemy of the state rather than a sly politician. Oh, how I wish we finally could stop pretending that FOX News is nothing but Russian propaganda and stop calling their Entertainment Racist white faced liars journalists, and begin calling them Comrades. There are so many other annoying things in life, I wish I could complain about, but I know in MY life, living to see another day of democracy, freedom and equality is a struggle I must continue, until the good guy FINALLY ends up the winner.
