Remember the "death panels"? In 2009, when the health care law was still being written, Sarah Palin coined the phrase "death panel" in a widely shared Facebook post. "The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society.' YEPPERS. Remember when the GOP was climbing all over themselves declaring that somehow Obamacare was full of DEATH PANELS, as in faceless bureaucrats acting Medical Professionals, at the ready and eager to play Lord and Executioner for the health and welfare of the so-called “average American.” YEPPERS, remember when the Republicans pretended to actually care about INDIVIDUAL rights and freedoms, as in its YOUR BODY AND YOUR CHOICE.
Of course, the GOP knows NO LIMITS of HYPOCRICY, no matter where or when. Of course, the Republicans act as Populists, thinking that by lying to the population, they will in fact become popular!
Remember the "death panels.” Well folks they are back again, back again, and promoted by the Republicans. Ya’ see, this time however the Death Panels are not mere faceless bureaucrats, no, this time around they have the faces of the GOP Legislators, GOP Governors, GOP Senators, and GOP Activist Judges. It is these women and men, playing Medical Professionals, who now are deciding the health and welfare of women, trans people, and LGBQ People. They act as GODS, deciding which women need an abortion, which trans kids require hormone therapy, and which LGBQ people are considered normal or not.
