The latest boogeyman, from the PR deviants working for the Republican Party, has become Communism and the Communists. The men and women who give little fucks about this nation, but who make their living tearing apart our democracy, are tirelessly working to invent a new OTHER. Immigrants, Trans People, and Muslims remain high on their list, but those demographics have been used so often that someone new to vent your bigotry and hate towards seems necessary. For the low-intelligence, low-IQ, and very MAGA Americans, having a new villain is a useful bit of distraction.
BUT MEANWHILE…
President Xi of China arrived in the United States. And even though Presidents never go to the airport to greet them, Trump arrived. And not only did Trump make an appearance, but Trump had our American military, all decked out in their pomp and circumstance uniforms, act the fool as about a dozen military men and women got down on their knees and made sure that the Red Carpet laid out in front of Xi’s plane was neat and tidy and clean. All of this, mind you, for the leader of a major Communist nation. (And be reminded that when Trump visited Beijing, some lower-level Chinese official casually met Trump with no red carpet.)
Communism is bad. But when Capitalists want to make better business deals, Communism is as patriotic as the American Eagle. Meeting with President Xi, we’re two of the poster boys for why Capitalism is like Cancer (you know, a disease that eats away at your soul): Elon Musk and Sam Altman, two guys who seem to hate anyone who is not as wealthy as they are, and two men who think that money is the air we breathe and the water we drink. The ugly Americans were in attendance with the guy who is the face of Communism in the year 2026.
Republicans and the PR teams they hire to establish their dirty work understand that identifying an enemy is the best way to get the insecure, the paranoid, the unhappy, the dumb as shit to go out and vote. Many, if not most, Republican voters like to believe that the only reason THEY are not successful in their lives is due to the fact that there are too many of the OTHERS out there getting in their way. And the Republican Machine, if anything, is so capable of delivering a scapegoat.
