Shootings across the U.S. left at least 16 people dead and dozens more injured over Memorial Day weekend.
The gun violence occurred at beaches, high schools and motorcycle rallies, among other locations, across at least eight states. The victims were teenagers to people in their 60s. (NBC News)
Let me guess, it, wasn’t the guns that murdered and maimed, it wasn’t the bullets that found their way into the bone and flesh. Nope, none of that will be the issue as 16 people died this Memorial Day, 2023, at least from the responses by almost every single Republican Congress person (yeah even you pretend moderates like Romney/Collins/Murkowski). It will be Mental Health issues, as in if the Republicans just throw out the phrase mental health, it will miraculously stop murder by gun. Or it will be Gangs, or Antifa (amazing isn’t it, that somehow to be Anti Fascism is a bad thing) or it will be the Leftist Agenda (because if the Left somehow were more aware of the 2nd Amendment instead of actual lives lived, all those extra guns would not be necessary)
Memorial Day, once a holiday to celebrate the men and women who fought Foreign Wars, fighting against Tyranny/Despots/Dictators/and Enemies of the State, too many losing their lives to GUNS to preserve our liberties and freedoms. But Memorial Day 2023 the war has become Domestic and just as Dangerous!
