The Grabbing Hands

“The grabbing hands grab all they can. All for themselves, after all. The grabbing hands grab all they can. All for themselves, after all. It's a competitive world. Everything counts in large amounts.” (‘Everything Counts In Large Amounts’/Gore/Gahan)

‘Completely out of touch’: golf and dinners for ‘king’ Trump as economy melts down. Casual attitude as markets fall suggests man detached from anxieties of ordinary voters – and surrounded by yes men. (The Guardian)

Will it come down to the fact that the economy is dying faster than democracy to motivate enough within Congress to do the right thing and investigate the potential for an Impeachment trial? Or is it that the number of billionaires who somehow seem to be getting wealthier each and every time Trump jerks off the markets have enough money to buy and sell any Congress person who dares place country before their own careers?

Rightwing populists will keep winning until we grasp this truth about human nature. Economic inequality breeds resentment and a desire to get even. That’s what fuels support for even incompetent regimes. (The Guardian)

The billionaires know that money is the root of all evil, at least the ability to create evil for others. Being wealthy does not make a person bad, but how that money translates into who has the power and who can control others from having that power is where the evil stems. Keep the poor fighting one another, keep that imaginary ladder of hierarchy in place, keep people groveling, and keep showcasing for them the other, it takes lots of money to keep the lies alive.

Pay to have them look over there so they are blinded from seeing what is right in front of their own faces, build facades while the rich live in real palaces. Keep them dumb, and keep yourself very, very wealthy!
