when will they rise up

Recently I heard a few people talking about the candidates running for president representing the Republican/Tea Party and some of these people were stymied and pissed because, as they said too much time is being spent on the Gays and their issues. One woman went on to lament that after all how many Gays are there anyway, they are a minority and so if they don't get their way it is not the end of the world. And another man interrupted her adding that the Gays need to understand that there are other more important things in this country then their so called injustices. The group continued to tell one another that if the Gays don't watch out even their so called allies will turn against them because of the their selfish and self serving needs and desires.

I watched a 700 Club prayer service, the finely coiffed women and men leading the prayer service and also acting as hucksters for donations (so no matter how poor you are your dollars will go directly to the 700 Club coffers and their people will talk to Gods people to make sure you have a place in heaven) and they were quite distressed that the core values voters were being chastised and bullied. One man pressing his fingers to his sprayed hair never once moving a lock of hair, looked dismayed and as distressed as he could ( the Botox limited this emotion), said doing Gods work is hard and isn't it always the demons who battle the word of God. He was referring to all the bad press the Republican/Tea Party candidates received when they stood for Gods work and spoke loudly and proudly about limiting the rights and freedoms for the Gays, or the rights and freedoms for women and their bodies. His token female sidekick could not nod her head more in agreement, and said as a woman I am confident in Gods messengers telling me what is right and wrong. The life I bring forward is God and Gods only, creation.

Trying to hold down anything that might be dangerous in a projectile vomit fit I watched Fox and Friends, and listened as lies were being sold as truth and fiction as fact. The bevy of entertainers had invited an Iowan family, who aside from being proud of their Evangelical Christianity were also displayed as typical Iowans as who and what the typical American was. They were the every man family from Iowa and they were pissed. It seems that the main stream media is spending too much time on the so called racism, bigotry, and homophobia being supposedly spewed by the candidates of the Republican/Tea Party instead of spending anytime on why values, morals and conscience are key to how the average Iowan thinks and feels. Anyone can be an Evangelical Christian they went on to say, we don't discriminate, it it those who discriminate against God who are not welcome. The mother as she placed her arms around her son added that her sons rights should be as important as those Gay men who want spew their agenda on American youth. The dad added that the victim here is the American family and their rights and freedoms are being rallied for by the candidates with strong core values.

I am not sure what is happening to this nation, when the attack on freedoms and rights is considered Gods work, Gods way? I am not sure what America is turning into when the more a candidate shouts racist, homophobe, bigoted epitaphs, the higher his profile rises in popularity especially with people who say they are religious? I am not sure what is going on when the bad guy/gal is the person wanting fair and equal and the good guy are those who promise if elected that will never happen?

I am curious if the people who really have an honest connection with God will rise up and tell those who know not God but know only their human frailties to shut the fuck up?
