Jeopardy! is an American television game show created by Merv Griffin. The show features a quiz competition in which contestants are presented with general knowledge clues in the form of answers and must phrase their responses in the form of questions.
There was a photo circulating, taken by a student in a high school in Georgia, the frame of the picture included wall to wall, shoulder to shoulder, backpack to backpack of students, some wearing masks most not, and the ANSWER to this picture: The student who took it was suspended, AND nothing was done to the administrators of the high school. There was a photo of Jerry Falwell Junior on one of his luxury yachts with a female, not his wife, she pregnant, he with his pants below his waist, zipper clinging to its last little cross wire staple, he with a glass of something red, oh yeah he with his arm around a female’s waist (not his wife…) and the ANSWER to this picture, was oops my bad, I will have to do better next time, I was just lost in the moment. There was a photo of four or five young girls (people of color) face down lying on the cement of a street, hot seething concrete of the streets of Aurora Colorado (remember the horror of the mass shooting in that town) The girls were terrified as was their mother and aunt. Standing around watching them as if these humans were insects just squashed by a foot and squirming, in pain before dying, were THUGS dressed in a Blue Uniform surmising the situation, all looking nonchalant and also nervous as fuck, but not a one offering any slice of humanity or solace. And the ANSWER to this question was, a day late apology, non-apology from the Aurora Police Chief, sans much emotion, but including more of the teleprompter apology, of we need to a better job in our training, and this was not supposed to happen. Nothing to offer the traumatized girls, the shock and horror of their mother and aunt; but we have to make sure we have better training!
Even before Trump, our lives had been in JEOPARDY, always questioning issues about, environment, health care, equal rights, civil rights; but in this TIME OF TRUMP and the McCONNELL ENABLERS, the meaning of JEOPARDY has become so prominent riddled with the questions of hypocrisy/double standards/non-apology apologies/self-serving intentions. The ANSWERS, so obvious yet so estranged from the truth, that, anything from opening schools just to please Trump’s re-election effort, while placing thousands at risk of death and dying, doom and disaster to Evangelical American Leaders acting as both a Taliban like army and desiring a form of SHARIA restrictive law usurping the Constitution, to the Police continuing to act as if they were Zombies, with no brain but just the lust eat brains just never are spoken. And the same nagging QUESTION, with an obvious ANSWER: one of the best ways to help contain the spread of the CORNOAVIRUS, WEARING A MASK, is now considered not an answer, but a weapon in some made-up/make-believe CULTURE WAR!
