Ted Cruz's stance on same-sex marriage raises a huge red flag. Marriage should be "left to the states," the senator from Texas said It's not that Cruz's words alone conjured up Lincoln's address, but that his comments fueled my growing sense that some Republicans don't just want red states but individual red nations. I don't mean formal secession. But it's more akin to sovereign nations where they can act unrestrained from federal intervention on issue after issue -- from voting rights to same-sex marriage and even interracial marriage. Within the GOP, especially for the politicians running for office, and in PARTICULAR, the cadre of monsters scratching their way to the bottomless pits of the Republican Base, it seems the game of LIMBO is a common thread, begging the question of these candidates, as the song goes… “How Low Can You Go!” Teddy, one OPPORTUNIST, eager to throw his father, wife, and children under any bus, or other forms of transportation, has no boundaries or limitations in feeding HATE to the Republican Base, and as circumstances sadly have it, CRUZ, desires to be as loved by his base and loathed by everyone else, as Ron DeSantis. Ronnie hates the trans kids, drag queens, women, and voting rights, but now Teddy thinks by scapegoating the Gay Men and Women and planning on removing one more right from them, HE will take over the title of THE BIGGEST SCHMUCK OF AMERICA!
I am so tired of the chant, leaving it to the states. We began to leave it to the states and suddenly the Negro was going to remain in SLAVERY. And after that was semi-averted, we left it to the states, and suddenly there were segregated bathrooms, hotels, neighborhoods, schools some for Blacks Only, and of course the nicer cleaner places for Whites Only. As the author of this opinion piece states, ‘…Republicans don't just want red states but individual red nations. I don't mean formal secession. But it's more akin to sovereign nations where they can act unrestrained from federal intervention on issue after issue…’ Add this bit of Bigotry and Bull Shit to the suggestions by way too many AG’s of Red States, that travel between the Red States and the Blue States become policed, and suddenly this nation looks a lot like the former UNION OF SOVIET SOCIALISTS REPUBLICS!
