To Placate

Lets placate the public, pretend that laws matter, or while we are at it, that much of truth is ideal. Lets act on the offense even though the reaction is to offset the defense, only because we were caught (one might say in this age of Trump Red Handed). Lets right that wrong, or at least address it in a Tweet, because the fewer characters you use, sounds less like an apology and more like an intended action. Lets refer to the past discretions as a blip, a burp a bump in a road never of course intended, but perhaps there, intentionally until someone catches on. Lets offer prayers and thoughts again, because after all it worked the first dozen times. Lets point that finger and insist that everything is on the table, except there is no table in sight. Lets look the other way because turning our backs is safer than running into the on coming traffic; someone might get hurt, and it should never be us. Lets demand that the mourners need prayers and silence, lets demean anyone who suggests that avoidance is the precise ploy to NEVER address the issue, lets demur and act the victim hurt, insulted that we are at fault, when there are at least 700 other people or things or causes to scapegoat. Lets be Republican and Make America Great!

So now, John Kelly is attempting to change the security rules at least as they relate to the Executive Branch. Honestly too late Johnny Boy, every one from Bannon to Kushner, to Manafort, to Donnie Junior has had their greedy and grubby little hands into the top secrets of secrets. And guess what Johnny Boy, the guy sitting in Oval Office, could never be hired once your supposed new rules of engagement are enacted. Trump has so much blackmail-ability about him, that the stench flows from Mar-a-Lago to Moscow. And then there is Governor Rip off Rick Scott from Florida, who suddenly is certain that this time HE and his paid to play, gerrymandered Republican Legislature by the NRA are going to make laws on guns, lawful…that is, right after he and his NRA puppets made it a whole lot easier for people suffering mental illness to purchase guns, with a big nod from Little Marco Rubio!

It is more than hypocrisy, it is more than horrific, it is more than a heavy heart can handle. Lets placate the public, because somehow we think the Americans are just too damn stupid to know better. Because we are the Republicans, we think we can get away with murder!
