The one time I traveled to London, visiting a local, we took advantage of LONDON UNDERGROUND (subway system). An amazing amount of TOURIST ATTRACTIONS was able to be witnessed, with this ease of travel, the low cost to get around within the city of London, and for me being able to do so without getting lost! (My sense of direction is so terrible that at times I actually have to take photos of where the entrance was located so I can exit without being locked inside the building.) Riding the UNDERGROUND, was fun but I remember reading the sign that said, “MIND THE GAP,” Hmm, the GAP, what GAP, I asked my friend, looking every which way to discover the GAP. “Look down”, he informed me, at your feet. There is, for some reason a few inches of distance between the platform and the actual car. Actually, for some the distance is like a GAP. If you don’t MIND THE GAP, there is a possibility of injury!” HOW brilliant (I was in London, so I had to think in a BRITISH kind of jargon and used the word BRILLIANT). MIND THE GAP, or else!
So, speaking of GAPS, and MINDING them, an interesting Washington Post article appeared today, talking about GAPS…you know the kind of SOMETHING IS MISSING from within the PHONE LOGS OF THE WHITE HOUSE, GAP! HISTORY is always available to repeat itself just in case the humans living today forget about the humans who lived yesterday. 2022, and 1972, the OVAL OFFICE, REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTS, OF DUBIOUS CHARACTER…But then it seems TRUMP AND NIXON were sewn from the same rotten cloth of wanting to be DICTATORS!
Internal White House records from the day of the attack on the U.S. Capitol that was turned over to the House select committee show a gap in President Donald Trump’s phone logs of seven hours and 37 minutes, including the period when the building was being violently assaulted, according to documents obtained by The Washington Post and CBS News…The records show that Trump was active on the phone for part of the day, documenting conversations that he had with at least eight people in the morning and 11 people that evening. The seven-hour gap also stands in stark contrast to the extensive public reporting about phone conversations he had with allies during the attack, such as a call Trump made to Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) — seeking to talk to Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) — and a phone conversation he had with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) (Bob Woodward/Washington Post)
When the existence of the Watergate tapes became public during the investigations into the 1970s scandal, one of the most memorable moments was the discovery of the infamous 18.5-minute gap and what some saw as President Richard Nixon’s secretary’s bizarre explanation for what caused it…The prosecution was interested in tapes of a discussion between Nixon and his chief of staff, H.R. "Bob" Haldeman, that were captured by the president's secret White House recording system in the days immediately following the break-in at Democratic National Committee headquarters… But those tapes contain a mysterious 18.5-minute gap -- a patch of buzzes and clicks of missing audio -- in the middle of a recording made June 20, 1972, three days after the break-in.
