The Name Game, for Saturday.
Come on everybody
I say now let's play a game
I betcha I can make a rhyme
Out of anybody's name
The first letter of the name
I treat it like it wasn't there
But a "B" or an "F"
Or an "M" will appear
And then I say "Bo" add a "B" then I say the name
Then "Bo-na-na fanna" and "fo"
And then I say the name again with an ""f" very plain
Then "fee fi" and a "mo"
And then I say the name again with an "M" this time
And there isn't any name that I can't rhyme. ("The Name Game" is a song co-written and performed by Shirley Ellis as a rhyming game that creates variations on a person's name./” The Name Game” written in 1964/Ellis/Chase)
The name game in 2024, some 60 years later, and somehow, all I can rhyme some names with end in the words, Fascist, Hypocrite, Dictator, Fool, Idiot, Shyster, Traitor, Selfish, Cultist, Bigot, Bogus.
Try, as you may, playing the name game with this list of names… TRUMP, RFK Jr, Aaron Rodgers, Margie-Putin-Greene, BOEBERT, Slick-Sick Mitch, Jared, Mr. Ginni Thomas, Ms. Lindsey, DeSatin…just as starters…add any names necessary, and of course any rhyme that goes along with those names!
