Money! All we hear about is how much money each and every politician wants needs, and has received as they run for office. Democracy bought and paid for in American politics.
All we read about is being outspent, corporations being people, dark money always hiding in the shadows, which result in bribery, ownership, and grifting.
Wealth, all you need is a whole lot of money, instead of paying taxes, you purchase your politician.
So much right about democracy, but with lots of money, so much wrong about democracy.
