I am not naïve anymore regarding politics and politicians. Sadly, most professional politicians prefer self-preservation versus the preservation of the people. For way too many career politicians, it is all about “me, me, me,” and that selfish, self-serving attitude and arrogance peaked so greatly in 2024.
I have also become less naïve regarding the hierarchy of wealth and power, and sadly, I have discovered that corporations, which this treasonous Supreme Court had anointed as people, are selfish, greedy, and prioritize their profits over people. To think otherwise is ridiculous!
I would wish that I had the genie in the bottle to beg the journalists and reporters to stop playing the corporate game and ask some honest questions, especially of the current crop of Republican Trump Court Jesters. As I see it, Trump survives only because of the many spineless and soulless Republicans who seem to have little trouble in placating Trump to save their own political careers.
Why not push, and push, and push these Republicans on some very relevant questions? How about asking them why they support a man who has declared that if elected, he will enact authoritarianist, Fascist leadership, defining his enemies as enemies of the state? Why not push, and push, and push these same hypocrites, asking them how they can support a man who has clearly stated that he recognizes dictators around the world, preferring them over democratic nations? Why not push, and push, and push these Republicans, asking them how suddenly specific immigration populations are evil and inflicting this nation with bad blood?
It is way too easy to just focus on Trump when all around him are his minions and cultists, current Republican elected officials who enable him to succeed.
