California voters rejected an effort to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom in early returns Tuesday as the state decided its second-ever gubernatorial recall election.
News outlets, including CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC and the Associated Press, called the race for Newsom shortly after polls closed, as early returns showed the no vote with a commanding lead. Nearly 66% of voters opposed the recall, with 34% in support.
“No is not the only thing we said tonight,” Newsom said, speaking at state Democratic Party headquarters in Sacramento. “We said yes to science. We said yes to vaccines. We said yes to ending this pandemic. We said yes to people’s right to vote without fear of fake fraud or voter suppression.” (Sacramento Bee)
A victory for the citizens of California who actually are Pro-Life, as in the lives of those outside of the womb…A victory for the doctors, nurses, aides, hospital staff, scientists, caregivers of California, who practice MEDICINE AND SCIENCE, instead of choosing CONSPIRACY, PROPAGANDA, and, LIES…A victory for the generation of kids from Inception to High School, for the College Students, and Faculty of Pre-Schools, Elementary Schools, and Institutes of Higher Learning…A victory that demonstrates that DEMONS do exist in the form of Republicans more willing to pursue a PERSONAL AGENDA, than a way forward for the health and welfare of real people, who seem to never be the evildoers of FOX, and QAnon, the GOP, Newsmax. And a victory for those who understand the VILE, DESPICABLE, INSIDIOUS, tactics of TRUMP and his MERCENARIES who in my opinion prefer MAYHEM AND MURDER.
But sadly this IS an America, still reeling from the “wanna be’, DICTATOR and his Crusaders to demolish DEMOCRACY, and we still have DeSantis-Abbott-Noem-Margie QAnon-Gymmie Jordan-Alabama and Mississippi Legislatures-Governors of Nebraska-Missouri-Arkansas, and those who insist that Public Health and the concern for PUBLIC HEALTH AND WELFARE somehow denies freedom. And in AMERICA, sadly some victories do not last forever!
