I know, I know, some people INSIST that we stop reminding ourselves of the past horrors of DUBIOUS DISTINCTION, and those same people, refuse to believe that HISTORY can or will REPEAT itself, even as the moments in time from YESTERDAY, haunt us TODAY. But sadly it seems SOME people are creatures of habit, even when those habits are life-threatening to the survival of freedom and democracy. BUT BEWARE Americans, no not the ones who wear a MAGA Hat, White Robe, carry Tiki Torches, wave the Confederate Flag, and ASSUME (you know what they say ASSUME means, as in MAKING AN ASS-OUT OF-U-AND ME) doing so makes them a PATRIOT. AND in particular, the current scourge of Treasonous Traitors Intimidated by Trump, the REPUBLICANS in office.
In the mid-’40s to late ’50s, the Republican Party decided that Communism was the enemy, and instead of acting as a Democracy might, the Republican Party instead became even more of an Authoritarian Establishment. NOW, in the Mid Twenty, Twenties the GOP, under the tutelage of Trump, who most likely is under the THUMB of Putin (imagine the treasure troves of blackmail), has embraced the once Communist State of Russia and has permitted the poison of DISSENT, HATE, PREJUDICE, to sweep over this nation. As I see it, World War Three had been started when Putin’s Puppet, Trump was sworn into office (imagine if the Dems had only insisted that THAT election was stolen). Nuclear War is messy, not only for the Victims but for the Oppressor, because eventually, nuclear winter finds you in Moscow or Leningrad. So now, be it from COVID Vaccinations to the Divide between Church and State, to the Demise of Democracy, a rift has arisen in this nation similar, I believe to the kind of HATE which was preached during the Civil War. Trump has been programmed by Putin, the Republican Party has been compromised by Trump, and Putin is smiling as we eat ourselves!
