I find myself at an emotional place, from which I dislike, and am surprised to have discovered for myself. I read articles regarding the motives behind some Americans, who seem to place fiction as a priority, conspiracy as a norm, and sheer indulgence in hate, as a prerequisite to be human. Be it “old wives tales,” based on nothing but hand me down stories, OR, purposely placed propaganda from people who live their own personal lives completely different than the masses to whom they preach, OR a misplaced definition of freedom, in which only the person crying “Don’t Tread On Me”, is selfishly concentrating on his or her life, no matter the negative impact on those around them. The emotional place I am currently somehow entrenched in a mire of quicksand is one of, “THEN SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES OF STUPID AND BIGOTRY, IGNORANCE, AND LOATHING…But as you do so go and hide in some cave and do not ask the rest of us to save you!” And then I ponder and become perplexed as to how did this moment in my time come about?
