Neither is due to return to work until April 14! In other words, I guess they can use the excuse that since they were away, they had nothing to do with Trump blowing up the world.
The Vice President, Just Dance Vance, is trying to prop up Viktor Orban's popularity. Viktor Orbán has been described as an autocrat by various human rights organizations and EU reports, which accuse his government of undermining democratic norms and creating an "electoral autocracy" in Hungary. Orban is one of Trump’s idols. Vance is not in Ukraine trying to support its democratically elected President Zelensky.
The Military leadership is going ahead with Trump’s plan to commit war crimes, I suppose, using the Nazi military excuse that “we were just following orders!”
