I have always been a Zombie fan. Whether it was the Zombies from the Caribbean nations coming alive with spells from voodoo priestess shown on Chiller Theater a local and most amazing Saturday night Pittsburgh horror fest, or George Romeo’s ‘Night of the Living Dead’ to the ‘Walking Dead’ and beyond. Like most ideas as they grow from infancy, the whole genre of Zombie movies has transformed evolved and re-evolved. There used to be very strict rules regarding Zombie behavior (And just like all the new permissible rules we have for Vampires), things have changed. It seems in many a Zombie movie, we now see characters who understand the soul of the person they once loved is dead, but somehow keeping that UN-DEAD person alive is most important. One could view this as unconditional love, I view it as selfish love, serving the needs only of the ALIVE person.
When I watch, with great angst, anger, and aggravation, anything, Trump on television followed by remarks from his puppets or worse the phony Republican politicians, my mind flashes the words BEWARE THE ZOMBIE. Pretending that they (people like Ryan, Mccain, McConnell) have a conscious, and truly think America is Beautiful, have recently managed to pretend they are appalled at the words clearly spoken by Trump…but they NEVER, EVER…no matter how disgusting, how un-truthful, how Un-American, the vile and vomit ejects from Trump’s orifices, the majority of Republican politicians,STILL state they WILL support Trump. BEWARE THE ZOMBIE, and THE ZOMBIE LOVER.
It seems as the Republican party decides that Party TRUMPS Country, we have more and more ZOMBIE LOVERS. Many Republicans understand Trump is a dead soul. They see how he can infect large groups of people with his racist, bigoted rhetoric (Just like a Zombie infects the folks it bites). Yet, these ZOMBIE LOVERS prefer to protect Trump, hoping in doing so they can protect their own political positions. The Republicans have always insisted it is their party to keep America safe, but somehow, that safety NEVER, EVER means stopping the TRUMP ZOMBIE from continuing to run wild and ravage this nation. Trump is one ZOMBIE, I totally afraid of.
