I am consumed with anger, it seems The Supreme Court’s liberal and conservative justices clashed Wednesday during arguments over Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban, with each member of the six-justice conservative supermajority expressing openness to significantly paring back or completely overturning abortion rights protections guaranteed under Roe vs. Wade. (Politico)
How the fuck! Two of the so-called SUPREME COURT JUSTICES, Thomas and Kavanaugh are ALLEGED men who have been accused of sexual assault (Alleged Suspected; temporarily presumed; supposed). And Thomas’s wife Ginny, Conservative political activist Virginia Thomas told her husband Justice Clarence Thomas’s former law clerks that she was sorry for a rift that developed among them after her election advocacy of President Donald Trump and endorsement of the Jan. 6 rally in D.C. that resulted in violence and death at the Capitol. (Washington Post). Another so-called SUPREME COURT JUSTICE, Alito, on November 12, Justice Samuel Alito gave a controversial speech to the Federalist Society, an influential conservative legal group with close ties to the judiciary. Bemoaning what he characterized as growing threats to free speech and religious liberty, Alito took aim at the Supreme Court’s historic decision that same-sex couples have a right to marry, along with recent cases on abortion rights and restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of Covid-19. (Brennen Center For Justice).
Another fly by night, never having the true lifetime judicial experience as might be expected of a SUPREME COURT JUSTICE, Amy Coney Barrett is a member of the church of THE PEOPLE OF PRAISE, The group’s beliefs — including a strict view of human sexuality that embraces traditional gender norms and rejects openly gay men and women — are in line with other conservative faith traditions. What is notable about the group, according to documents and interviews with former members, is that even in the context of devout faith communities, members of the People of Praise are deeply embedded in one another’s lives. (New York Times) And then there is Neil Gorsuch, the guy who Mitch McConnell rushed into office, and who believes the US Constitution should be construed as it was by its original drafters. (Google Search) You know as in slavery was cool, women had no vote, men were the great deciders.
I am angry, offended, perturbed, pissed, worried. Hey all you women who voted Republican, do you really think, if abortion laws of overturned in favor of anti-abortion fanatics, the rest of your liberties won’t be the next thing on the chopping block. Hey all you men who voted Republican, you think just because you say you love your wife or mother, or daughter that the next step will be to control more of their lives and bodies. Damn, I am CONSUMED WITH ANGER!
