TO PERSEVERATE

…Miami school says vaccinated students must stay home for 30 days to protect others, citing discredited info. In April, a Miami private school made national headlines for barring teachers who got a coronavirus vaccine from interacting with students. Last week, the school made another startling declaration, but this time to the parents: If you vaccinate your child, they’ll have to stay home for 30 days after each shot. (The Washington Post)… Donald Trump Jr. is now posting memes implying the media is downplaying child sex trafficking, the latest example of his embrace of the fringe far-right and the conspiracy theories that define it. The former president’s oldest child is one of the most prominent conservatives on social media, and over the weekend he posted an image to his 5.2 million Instagram followers which said: “They should start reporting the number of kids that go missing every day the way they report COVID numbers.” (Vice)… Members of Donald Trump's mailing list have been asked to contribute $45 each to "solve the election fraud of 2020," despite no evidence of mass voter fraud. Team Trump's pleas for funds on Sunday evening came only days after the former president insisted Republicans "will not be voting" in the 2022 midterm and 2024 general elections until the supposed voter fraud is "solved." “When a stupid government is elected in a democratic country, the best thing about this is that you learn the number of stupid people in that country!” ― Mehmet Murat ildan “Stupid people make stupid people famous.” ― Abhijit Naskar “The Dunning-Kruger Effect: Dumb people like Trump think they're super smart, because they are so spectacularly stupid, they don't even know how much stuff they don't know. They are so dumb, they don't even know that other people know a lot more about a topic than they do.” ― Oliver Markus Malloy.

TO PERSEVERATE ON SOMETHING: continuation of something (such as an activity or thought) usually to an extreme degree or beyond a desired point specifically, psychology: the continual involuntary repetition of a thought or behavior Perseveration is said to occur when the patient continues to give the answer to the previous question in response. I was NOT going to mention any of the foolishness of the world, BUT headline after headline, deceit after deceit, moron after moron, HAS made moving on, trying to get past the STUPID almost impossible for me. AND the THING is, at least for me, all of this NONSENSE is TERRIBLY frightening and FEARFUL.
