Who is the real monster was it Frankenstein or Dr. Frankenstein? I read, and worry wonder, and reel, look for reasons and find no rationale. Was Trump a creation of truly selfish people, wanting a collapse of our Democracy, to benefit their own financial needs, or was Trump already just waiting to leap upon more greed and gluttony?
We read about election deniers, and must wonder, are those GOP candidates indeed that gullible to believe the Big Lie, or are they just that much more intelligent to play upon the gullibility of the genuinely ignorant? Is it the eternal question of the Chicken or the Egg?
Why have we as a society permitted narcissists to suddenly become the ever-trusted and truer speakers of truth? Because they may have wealth do they also have wisdom? Money is loud, because we have been told that wealth makes you better, and only those with more money should be listened to, even if what they say is filled with their own bias and bigotry!
I will not be overly dramatic, but my skin crawls, my gut aches and my brain feels bruised, as each and every day fiction becomes the truth, and lies morph into reality. Traitors are considered heroes. But worst of all for me, is how way too many Americans have disregarded history, pretending that there is actually nothing at all to learn from our past.
