Dr. Victor Frankenstein actions resulted in the Creature killing others because Victor made the Creature miserable. When Victor first created the Creature, he observed it with horror and disgust. When the Creature found out what Victor thought of him he stated, “I am solitary and abhorred” Finding out that even his creator hated him filled the Creature with agony and rage. These emotions that Victor brought upon the Creature compelled him to kill Victor’s loved ones. Also, by leaving the Creature on his own, he never learned social skills or how to act in front of other people. (internet public library)
Donald Trump’s control of the GOP is near-total. So dominant – and domineering – a figure does the former President cut within the Republican Party that almost no elected official is willing to criticize even his most outlandish claims. More than 6 in 10 (63%) of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents think that the party should not be too accepting of elected officials who openly criticize Trump. Three in 10 say the party should not accept any criticism of Trump from its elected officials. (CNN)
Genres of fiction from the Supernatural to Horror, are often times the forbearers of the future. Often times both genres present a dark dystopian future, with the authors offering tons of red flags, a myriad of it’s not too late to change, and a plethora of open-your-damned eyes. But just as often we dismiss the warnings and say it is just fiction.
Dr. Frankenstein creates Frankenstein. The Republican Party creates Trump. Frankenstein made his creature miserable. The Republicans took a miserable creature and permitted him to remain miserable. The Monster Frankenstein at least has the insight about himself to admit, “I am solitary and abhorred.” Trump knows he is abhorrent but lacks the insight to admit it. The Frankenstein monster retaliates and kills his masters family. Trump retaliates and kills the chances for his creators to challenge him. The Frankenstein monster he never learned social skills or how to act in front of other people. Trump never learned social skills and how to act in front of people. Fiction sometimes is actually FACT!
