This IS how Reagan embraced “Trickle-down” ECONOMICS, DOES INDEED function for POLITICIANS, the 1%, and the CORPORATIONS who have been declared people!
In just a few months, the U.S. Supreme Court's billionaire-coddled justices made it legal for politicians to accept gifts from beneficiaries of government favors; Donald Trump promised to enrich fossil fuel industry donors in exchange for $1 billion in campaign donations, while his running mate J.D. Vance begged a tech billionaire to bankroll their campaign; moguls funneling cash to Democrats demanded the firing of the antitrust regulator scrutinizing their businesses; both parties held corporate-sponsored conventions that prominently featured billionaires and CEOs as keynote speakers; and spending by Super PACs and other shadowy groups crossed the $1 billion mark. MONEY, lots of it, no need to pay your fair share of taxes, just as long as you use some of your lots and lots of money to buy and sell Politicians. Bankroll campaigns, local, state or federal. Take democracy out of elections by not permitting under-moneyed politicians to compete against overly moneyed politicians. There is no need or desire for candidates to have equal opportunity to advertise or campaign because to do so would hurt, REALLY HURT, the self-serving WEALTHY and their LOBBYISTS.
Each day, we hear about how much money the campaigns for almost every political job have acquired. But what is left out of that news is the basic fact that when the money is from large donors, the puppet strings get pulled tighter and tighter.
